Ok, I never watched Felicity and not that big of a fan of Kerri Russel.  I will give her majors props for her design abilities!

There is a couple of factors that make this such an awesome project.  First, it is in Brooklyn.  I went to school in Brooklyn, so I am partial to all things from the area.  Secondly, it is a brownstone. I think all people in Brooklyn dream of owning one because it has a yard.  Most of all, the design is simple, elegant, and beautifully blends a range of styles.  The couple has been very hands on with the project from building to decorating.  Kerri stated, “so I stuck with a neutral palette, kept it spare, and worked in as many textures as I could without straying into girly territory.”  The couple has also shopped in a range of stores from ABC Home to Ikea.  Gotta love the actress who shops at Ikea!

What I love about this project is how successful the designer was to blend different styles and use unexpected material.
